The newly released Made in Scotland: Album celebrates the Scottish nation's best artists and performers from the last five decades, ranging from contemporary artists like Calvin Harris and Paulo Nutini to cult bands including The Cocteau Twins and The Jesus & Mary Chain. The three-disc set features 59 tracks compiled by Sony Music has been put together to mark “a year that Scotland has dominated the news and wowed the world with the Commonwealth Games”.
This wonderfully eclectic compilation is supported by a stunning 30 second advert designed and animated by Bolder Creative. Integrating the iconic colours of the Scottish flag and some of Scotland’s most famous historical landmarks, this combination evokes a sense of pride while reflecting the cultural importance of music in Scotland. Combining simplistic instrumental design and slow motion graphics on top of dynamic and realistic cloth animation Bolder Creative have created an advert with a depth of field that’s both symbolic and innovative.
By bringing together the assembling of instruments, iconic landscape and contemporary music Bolder Creative have imagined and produced a representation of not just the music and the artists but the heritage of the Bonnie land.
