Hello friends and welcome to my "Universe Unknown" Kickstarter project. Universe Unknown is an album which I've been writing and recording from my home in Columbus, Ohio for the better part of a year and a half. Guess what? I'm finally finished. Now I need your help to digitally distribute the album online. Here's a little info about the album to help introduce you to the project.
Universe Unknown is a collection of ten tracks containing synth-pop, garage rock, indie rock, traditional pop, and blues music. I was influenced by a ton of different sounds while writing and recording this album, including The Staples Singers, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Prince, Dr. John, The Black Keys, Rihanna, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Pink Floyd, Sam Cooke, and on and on we go. It's an amalgamation of everything I love about pop and rock music. The subject matter ranges from the "Why are we here" type questions of "Universe Unknown," to the "attaining the unattainable" of "Grasping for Ghosts," to the financial and economic woes of "Get Cha Coming, Get Cha Going," to the "I will always be there" sentiments of "Forever Hello." Every song is a piece of me and, if I did my job well as a writer, a piece of us. I sincerely hope you all enjoy the music, and I can't thank those of you enough who decide to pledge your hard-earned money to help make my album come to life.
